Gotta love the sales pitch…
More recently, graffiti artists have taken to defacing train carriages with their artwork. Yes it’s naughty but it can be incredibly cathartic, especially when you’re bored. So how do upstanding citizens get to graffiti a train without risking an ASBO? No, they don’t sneak into the sidings at night; they buy the brilliant Graffiti Your Own Train.
Made from cast resin the graffiti train is the perfect way to perfect and express your graffiti skills in the comfort and safety of your own home.
The blank white train comes with 2 graffiti transfer sheets full of cool tags, stencils and graffiti images for you to apply yourself.
A Dublin garda station under renovation is allowing local youths to spray graffiti around its construction site.
A dozen children selected from community policing schemes will be able to display their artwork on the hoardings at one side of Kevin Street garda station.
Students from the National College of Art and Design will also lend a hand to help the youths express themselves.
“Gardaí from Kevin Street garda station have been working with local youths to provide them with facilities to allow them to legally display their graffiti art,” said a Garda spokesman.
“While the new Kevin Street garda station is under construction, gardaí and the Office of Public Works have allowed the hoarding around the new station, on Bride Street, to be used by the youths to display their art.”
The 12 children come from three projects: Youth Intervention Services (YIS) Meath Street, the Dan Project in Donore Avenue/St Teresa’s Gardens and the Reach Project in Ballyfermot.
The graffiti will be carried out over seven days between tomorrow and October 30.
Konk got himself busted then spilled his guts to the cops. He got fined €13,500 and instead of taking it out of his trust fund he wants everyone else to pay for it. Art Raid involves people buying tickets for €20 and then when the bell sounds, all the ticket holders get to grab a canvas off the wall. They got snapped up pretty fast with the exception of one piece by Will St Leger, because he’s shit.
After the success of the last one earlier this year, All City are hosting another jam in The Tivoli, Francis St., this Saturday 20th September. Info on their site…
This looks to be, what we call in the industry, a shit buzz…
